Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:

Our hospital is equipped to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' complete health care needs.

Surgical Services:  Our state-of-the-art surgical suite, including CO2 laser and rigid endoscope,  provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures on both dogs and cats as well as birds and other exotics. 

Laboratory:  Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists.

Blood Pressure Monitoring:   Pets can develop high or low blood pressure like people.   We will periodically monitor your pet's blood pressure based on the doctor's examination and health  recommendations.   

Anesthesia:  We utilize sevoflurane, the safest available anesthetic, to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high risk patients, as well as our exotic patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  We recommend a pre-anesthetic bloodwork panel to ensure your pet is healthy and safe to go under anesthesia.  Paracatheter IV fluids will be administered throughout the procedure supporting your pet's blood pressure and hydration.  Your doctor will discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding anesthesia. 

     

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental X-rays, tooth extractions and oral surgery.    Dentals are performed under general anesthesia to allow the mouth to be thoroughly examined, radiographed, and cleaned.  During the dental process we use digital radiograph to xray the entire mouth looking for abscessed roots or tooth abnormalities,  remove the plaque and tarter using an ultrasonic handscaler, extract any teeth necessary, polish the healthy remaining teeth, apply a flouride treatment and Oravet to seal the teeth and help decrease the rate of tarter accumulation.  We recommend using Oravet at home along with feeding Royal Canin Dental diet formulated with nutritional ingredients to aid in teeth care.   For added benefit we also recommend CET dental chews which will also aid in the overall care of your pet's teeth.

Radiology Services:  Our on-site, high tech Digital Radiography equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.

   

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.  For the convenience of our clients, we now have an on-line pharmacy available.  

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance.  We are also able to assist you with the specific nutritional needs of birds and other exotics kept as companion pets.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Avian Behavior Counseling:  We can help you with the behavior challenges that often occur with pet birds.  Our in-house avian behaviorist will meet with you and make recommendations specific to the challenges you are facing with your bird.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding for dogs, cats, birds and exotics, as a service to our clients. Every boarding pet receives personal attention from our caring team members. Grooming:  Routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.
